Kerry Ann Rockquemore’s latest Inside Higher Education series focuses on the tenure track, but there are clear traces of her helpful writing strategies. I appreciate her focus on future goals and her weekly reminders to make time for writing. My semester work plan is sketched out on three dry-erase monthly calendar boards; hopefully I won’t be erasing too much, but since unexpected opportunities and responsibilities are bound to come up, I’m trying to promote flexibility in my planning.
